Tripoli - June 13, 2026 - (LANA) - The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Manfi, received the credentials of Ma Xueliang as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Libya on Saturday, during an official ceremony held at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli, marking the official commencement of his diplomatic duties.
During the ceremony, Al-Manfi welcomed the Chinese Ambassador, expressing his wishes for his success in his mission and emphasizing the deep-rooted relations between Libya and the People's Republic of China. He affirmed the Council's commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing the framework of the strategic partnership to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly countries.
The Head of the Presidential Council also noted the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two sides on issues of common interest, which will contribute to consolidating stability and advancing development efforts and economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. For his part, the Chinese ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Chinese leadership to the head of the Presidential Council, reiterating his country's commitment to supporting joint cooperation with Libya and working to elevate bilateral relations to more advanced and broader levels in various political, economic, and cultural fields.
