Director of the External Media Department Discusses Strengthening Media Cooperation and Exchanging Expertise in Paris

Paris, June 8, 2026 (LANA) – A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, headed by the Director of the External Media Department, Bader Shneiba, conducted a working visit to the French capital, Paris, over the past two days to strengthen media cooperation and exchange expertise.

The delegation, which included the Head of the Press and Media Affairs Department, Osama Al-Sharif, the Head of the Relations and Communications Department, Mohamed Al-Fitouri, and the Cultural Attaché at the Libyan Embassy, ​​Manal Harib, held a series of meetings with officials at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and several French and international media organizations.

The delegation met with the official spokesperson for the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Pascal Confavre, and the North Africa Department, along with several officials from the ministry's media sector. The discussions focused on media work mechanisms and institutional communication, as well as learning from French expertise in developing external media.

The program also included meetings with officials from the French International Media Foundation (CFI) and visits to France 24 and Monte Carlo International Radio to discuss media cooperation.

A source at the Department of External Media (WAL) stated that this visit comes within the framework of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation's efforts to develop institutional media work and enhance Libya's media and diplomatic presence by benefiting from international experiences and building effective partnerships.
