Libyan-Croatian talks to enhance cooperation in training and capacity-building areas.

Cairo, 7 June 2026 (Lana) Undersecretary of the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education for Technical and Intermediate Institutes, Abdulqader Ghaniya, held a meeting yesterday in Cairo, Egypt, with a Croatian delegation to discuss prospects for cooperation in training, capacity building, and curriculum development.
The Croatian delegation, which included the Minister of Education, Professor Radovan, and the Ambassador of Croatia to Egypt, Tomislav Bošnjak, affirmed its country's readiness to provide support and assistance in developing intermediate technical education through training and capacity-building programs and to contribute to modernizing and developing educational curricula in accordance with modern standards and labor market requirements.
The delegation also expressed the possibility of allocating scholarships for Libyan personnel at the Master's and Doctoral levels, which would contribute to raising the efficiency of national personnel and enhancing their academic and professional qualifications.
For his part, the Croatian Ambassador confirmed that coordination will take place in the coming period to arrange an official meeting between the Croatian Minister of Education and the Libyan Minister of Technical and Vocational Education, Yakhalaf Al-Sifaw, after the necessary arrangements are finalized to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and develop practical executive programs.
Both sides reviewed the depth and distinction of Libyan-Croatian relations, emphasizing the importance of working to strengthen and develop them in a way that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Croatian delegation expressed its appreciation for the Libyan people, affirming its aspiration to expand cooperation and partnership with the Ministry in the coming period.
