Tripoli – June 6, 2026 (LANA) – The Sabha Oil Depot resumed pumping and distributing fuel to stations through operating distribution companies on Saturday, as part of approved operational programs aimed at supporting stable fuel supplies in the southern region, according to Brega Oil Marketing Company.
The company explained in a post on its official page that the resumption of distribution operations came after the depot's operational stock was replenished in recent days as a result of continued supply operations. This contributed to reorganizing the inventory and enabling the depot to implement pumping and distribution plans regularly for stations belonging to the distribution companies.
According to the same source, today's distribution operations saw the pumping of approximately one million liters of gasoline and nearly 100,000 liters of diesel fuel, in addition to 2,100 cylinders of cooking gas. This enhances fuel availability and contributes to easing the pressure on citizens in the south.
The Brega Oil Marketing Company confirmed the continuation of its operational activities according to the approved schedules and in coordination with distribution companies and relevant authorities. The company stressed the importance of monitoring the movement of trucks after they leave the depot, ensuring their arrival at the designated stations, and maintaining the regular opening of stations to the public according to the approved sales and distribution mechanisms.
The company also emphasized that the post-distribution phase is a crucial element in ensuring that fuel reaches those entitled to it. This necessitates integration between distribution companies and regulatory and security bodies to prevent any violations or leakage outside the designated channels.+
