Al-Juwaifi meets with the Mayor of Sinawen

Tripoli, June 4, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Local Government in the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Shafi Al-Juwaifi, met yesterday, Wednesday, at the Ministry headquarters in Tripoli, with the Mayor of Sinawen, Rabie Qunaidi, to discuss several issues related to the administrative and service operations in the municipality. He also reviewed the progress of targeted development and service projects within the municipality.

The meeting reviewed the implementation status of a number of ongoing projects in the municipality. The two sides discussed mechanisms to overcome administrative and technical obstacles hindering progress, with the aim of expediting the completion of these projects and improving the level of basic services provided to citizens.

During the meeting, the mayor called for the need to support the Sinawen branch of the Municipal Guard and provide it with the necessary equipment, vehicles, and resources to enable it to perform its supervisory and regulatory duties optimally.

Qunaidi praised the Minister's efforts and his continued support for municipalities, noting the urgent need for further support for the Sinawen Municipality, particularly regarding the implementation of several central development projects aimed at improving and developing infrastructure and establishing new service and administrative facilities that would enhance administrative efficiency and bring services closer to citizens.

For his part, Al-Juwaifi affirmed the Ministry's commitment to providing the necessary support to the Sinawen Municipal Council and working to coordinate with executive bodies and relevant authorities to meet the municipality's urgent needs and demands, thereby contributing to accelerating development and strengthening stability in the region.
