Suleiman: The oil corporation achieves its highest monthly revenues of $4 billion.

Pulbished on:

Tripoli, May 31, 2026 (LANA) – The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, revealed that the corporation achieved its highest monthly revenues in the past ten years during May, amounting to approximately $4 billion from crude oil sales and royalties.

Speaking at a reception at the NOC headquarters in Tripoli on Sunday, Suleiman attributed this achievement to the qualified national technical expertise, despite the challenges facing the sector under these exceptional circumstances.

He explained that the corporation continues to develop its institutional performance according to a well-defined phased plan under the direct supervision and monitoring of the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors. He also noted the issuance of a guide to powers and delegations, which grants broader authority to middle management, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making.

During his speech, Suleiman reassured the public that fuel supplies remain uninterrupted and that reserves are plentiful. He clarified that the number of gasoline tankers contracted for delivery during May reached 17, the highest delivery rate in the corporation's history.

He added that total spending on fuel during May reached a very large sum exceeding one billion dollars, indicating that the current crisis is not related to supplies, but rather to the mechanisms for distributing and controlling fuel and preventing its diversion through illegal means.
