The Libyan chargé d'affaires in Cyprus discusses common Arab and international issues with the Qatari ambassador

Nicosia, May 28, 2026 (LANA) – The Chargé d'Affaires of the Libyan Embassy in the Republic of Cyprus discussed with the Qatari Ambassador ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

This came during a meeting held between them today following a distinguished luncheon hosted by the Qatari Ambassador in honor of the President of the Republic of Cyprus.

During the meeting, which was attended by a distinguished diplomatic contingent of ambassadors and heads of accredited Arab diplomatic missions, the two sides exchanged views on various Arab and international issues.

Both sides emphasized the depth of the diplomatic ties that bind the Arab states to the friendly Republic of Cyprus, according to a statement issued by the Libyan Embassy in Nicosia.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chargé d'Affaires expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Qatari Ambassador for his generous hospitality, praising the active diplomatic role played by the State of Qatar in strengthening communication and joint coordination.
