Tripoli, May 25, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, emphasized the importance of supporting community initiatives that promote social solidarity and instill a culture of volunteerism among young people.

This came during his meeting on Monday with Minister of Youth Haitham Al-Zahaf to follow up on the completion of the Eid al-Adha sacrificial meat distribution initiative for deserving families in various cities and regions.

The Minister of Youth briefed the Minister on the progress of the final phase of the initiative, confirming that the Youth Volunteer Efforts Agency teams had completed the distribution process across 78 field points, with the participation of 860 volunteers, during a 10-day campaign in which more than 30,000 sacrificial animals were distributed.

Al-Zahaf indicated that the final phase was implemented through the Youth Volunteer Efforts offices, in coordination with local leaders within the municipalities, following the completion of previous distribution phases carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs in coordination with the Ministry of Local Government. This involved distributing coupons to municipalities to ensure that the sacrificial animals reached deserving families through organized mechanisms.

The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the youth teams and volunteers in various regions, commending the level of organization and fieldwork that contributed to the initiative's success and its delivery to those in need.
