Al-Namroush discusses strengthening military and training cooperation with the US military attaché

Tripoli, May 19, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, received the US Military Attaché, Colonel De Nola, at his office, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and joint coordination in military and training fields between Libya and the United States.
The meeting addressed the outcomes of Exercise Flintlock and its positive results in raising the level of readiness and developing military capabilities. Discussions also covered training programs related to the qualification and training of special forces, contributing to enhancing combat efficiency and exchanging expertise between the two sides.
The two sides also explored prospects for expanding joint cooperation and opening new avenues in modern technology and military development, supporting efforts to build a professional military institution capable of keeping pace with modern developments and challenges.
