Tripoli – May 19, 2026 (LANA) – The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Government of National Unity participated in the World Education Forum 2026, hosted by London, with the participation of education ministers and officials from around the world, to discuss the future of education and the challenges related to development and sustainability.

During the forum's dialogue sessions, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mohamed Al-Dbeib, emphasized the importance of developing the higher education system in Libya, strengthening international partnerships, and investing in the skills of young people to keep pace with global transformations.

The Minister noted the Government of National Unity's commitment to expanding the use of clean energy and supporting scientific research and innovation, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and keeping abreast of modern scientific advancements.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Minister held a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries, discussing ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research, as well as exchanging academic expertise and developing scientific partnership programs between educational institutions.
