Geneva 19 May 2026 (Lana) Libya was elected Vice-President of the World Health Assembly (WHA) during its 79th session yesterday at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, and was attended by Health Minister Mohamed Al-Ghouj and other health ministers and representatives of member states from around the world.
During its meetings, the Assembly reviewed the most prominent global health challenges and ways to strengthen international cooperation in the health sector.
