MOF of the government appointed by the HoR meets with a Chadian delegation.

Benghazi, 17 May 2026 (Lana) Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government appointed by the House of Representatives (HoR), Abdul-Hadi Al-Hawij, met with the Secretary-General of the Chadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Issa Zakaria, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in various areas, particularly political coordination and the implementation of agreements signed between the two countries.
The meeting, which was held in the presence of the Chadian Consul General, Hassan Daisri, in Benghazi, reviewed the depth of historical and fraternal ties between the two countries and the Libyan government's commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination frameworks to serve mutual interests and contribute to regional security and stability.
During the meeting, Al-Hawij emphasized the importance of continued consultation and intensified communication between the two countries' diplomatic institutions, as well as strengthening cooperation and coordination with Chad on issues of common interest.
For his part, Zakaria affirmed his country's desire to expand bilateral relations and enhance cooperation to serve the interests of both nations and support regional stability.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the African Affairs Department, Abdul Salam Al-Raqi’i, the Director of the Asian and Australian Affairs Department, Haitham Al-Kib, and the Director of the General Protocol Department, Nasser Al-Zarouq.
