Tripoli, 17 May 2026 (Lana)—UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General Hannah Tetteh met yesterday with Presidential Council Vice President Abdullah Al-Lafi in Tripoli to discuss political, security, and economic developments in Libya, including the recent events in Zawiyah and Tripoli.

Tetteh updated Al-Lafi on the UN-facilitated political road map and highlighted progress in the four tracks of the Structured Dialogue.

According to the official page of the UNSMIL, she also informed him of the progress made in small convenings and that it was expected discussions would continue.
