Tripoli, May 13, 2026 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met today, Wednesday, with the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Guven Begiç, to discuss a number of regional and international issues and the latest developments in the political dialogue.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed key regional and international issues of mutual interest, focusing on the latest developments in the Libyan-Libyan political dialogue and ways to enhance security and political stability in the country, reflecting the progress achieved in the peace and development process.
The two sides also discussed prospects for strengthening the strategic partnership between Libya and Turkey, in a way that serves their common interests and enhances diplomatic, political, and economic cooperation. They emphasized the importance of continued consultation and close coordination on various related issues to ensure the desired outcomes at both the regional and international levels.
