Al-Fazzani meets with Youssef Saad

Tripoli, May 7, 2026 (LANA) – Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, Nasr al-Din al-Fazzani, discussed with the Secretary-General of the Arab Federation of Leather Industries, Youssef Saad, ways to activate Libya's role within the Federation, thereby enhancing its presence and contribution to the development of this vital sector at the Arab level.
This came during al-Fazzani's reception of the Arab official at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli, where they discussed mechanisms for developing and improving the performance of the leather industries in Libya through the exchange of expertise, capacity building, and enhancing product quality to meet regional and international standards.
The meeting also addressed the possibility of organizing a specialized exhibition for leather industries in Libya, with the aim of supporting artisans and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting local products, and opening broader horizons for cooperation and investment in this field.
This meeting comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Traditional Industries of the Government of National Unity, aimed at supporting traditional industries, enhancing their contribution to economic development, and preserving national cultural identity.
It is worth noting that the Arab Federation of Leather Industries is affiliated with the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States.
