Al-Menfi: Libya will remain an open space for all initiatives aimed at supporting youth

Tripoli, May 4, 2026 - The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, affirmed that Libya will remain an open space for all initiatives aimed at supporting youth and promoting volunteer work.

This came during his participation today, Monday, in the meetings of the Arab Scout Committee, alongside representatives of the Arab Scout Organization, officials from the operational framework, and the Maghreb Scout Union.

Al-Menfi stated that scouting transcends being a traditional youth activity, forming a strategic pillar for cultivating values ​​and building character, and a conscious investment in a more cohesive and stable future. He expressed his appreciation for the tireless efforts exerted in supporting and developing the scouting movement, both within Libya and throughout the Arab world.

He pointed out that the scouting movement, since its inception, has remained a comprehensive educational platform through which the principles of discipline and responsibility are instilled, and a culture of initiative and community service is fostered, thus contributing to preparing generations capable of facing challenges with a positive spirit and advanced awareness.

He pointed out that the world today is undergoing rapid transformations and facing increasing challenges, which amplifies the need to reinforce the values ​​of the Scout Movement, foremost among them peace, teamwork, and respect for human diversity. He emphasized that investing in people remains the most effective option for building a sustainable future.

The President of the Presidential Council stressed the state's commitment to expanding regional and international cooperation and strengthening partnerships that contribute to human development, considering it the cornerstone of national progress and advancement.
