Tripoli, 4 May 2026 (Lana)—Delegation of the European Union in Libya emphasized its continued support for press freedom and access to reliable information on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day.

The mission stated on its official page that it celebrates Libya’s journalists, fact-checkers, and media professionals, recognizing their vital role in conveying the truth and promoting transparency.

“Through dialogue and targeted initiatives, the EU supports access to reliable information and independent reporting, essential pillars of democracy and accountable governance,” it added.
