A celebration on the occasion of Libyan Women's National Day.

Tripoli - May 2, 2026 (LANA) - Member of Parliament Suad Al-Shali participated in a celebration organized by the Al-Marsad Foundation for Community Studies, in cooperation with the General Libyan Women's Union and the Libyan Women's Network, Thursday, under the slogan "Women's Community Leadership: Steps Taken, Successes Achieved, and a Will to Create Change."
This celebration was held on the occasion of Libyan Women's National Day, which is celebrated on April 26th of each year, in recognition of the pioneering role women play in building society and strengthening its human and national values.
The celebration included a panel discussion that addressed several topics, most notably women amidst transformations and trends of change in society and the family, strengthening security and social peace, and the theme of identity and values. A video highlighting examples of Libyan women's successes was also shown.
The celebration included honoring a number of prominent women. Among the distinguished leaders honored was Member of Parliament Dr. Suad Abdullah Al-Shali, in recognition of her pioneering role in serving the community, her contributions to promoting human values and supporting women's issues, and her inspiring efforts in community and humanitarian work. She was awarded the Sash of Honor, the Shield of Leading Woman of the Year 2025, and the Certificate of Distinguished Leading Woman of the Year.
The ceremony also featured a presentation of several new books.
