Dbaiba meets Italian Parliamentary Delegation

Tripoli, April 29, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbaiba, met today, Wednesday, at his office in the Prime Minister's headquarters, with an Italian delegation to discuss the latest political developments in Libya and the importance of achieving stability and ending the transitional phases.

The Italian delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Italian Parliamentary Committee for the Security of the Republic, Lorenzo Guerini, and included the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini.

The two sides also discussed strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries and expanding partnerships in vital sectors, in addition to discussing the issue of illegal immigration and ways to address it through coordinated joint efforts between Libya and Italy.
