Dbaiba meets with Al-Namroush and Al-Zoubi

Tripoli, April 29, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Defense, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, met yesterday, Tuesday, with Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Abdul Salam al-Zoubi, to discuss the situation of the military establishment and its general readiness.

The General Staff's media office reported that the meeting addressed training and qualification plans, military capability development programs, and ways to strengthen international partnerships in the fields of defense and security. This aims to enhance performance efficiency and modernize the military system, as well as address the financial situation of military personnel.

The office explained that the meeting emphasized the need to establish clear implementation mechanisms to ensure the settlement of entitlements and facilitate their regular disbursement, thereby strengthening job stability and supporting overall readiness.
