Tripoli, April 28, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Defense, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, met today, Tuesday, with Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, and Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Salah Al-Din Al-Namroush, to discuss the state of the military establishment and its overall readiness.

The meeting addressed training and qualification plans, military capability development programs, and ways to strengthen international partnerships in the fields of defense and security, with the aim of enhancing performance efficiency and modernizing the military system.

The meeting also discussed the financial situation of military personnel, emphasizing the need to establish clear implementation mechanisms to ensure the settlement of entitlements and facilitate their regular disbursement, thereby promoting job stability and supporting overall readiness.
