The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense discusses the outcomes of the Flintlock 2026 exercise with the US Chargé d'Affaires.

Tripoli, April 27, 2026 (LANA) – The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Unity, Lieutenant General Abdul Salam Salem Al-Zoubi, met today, Monday, at his office with the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Brent, and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting addressed the Ministry of Defense's participation in the "Flintlock 2026" tactical exercise held in Sirte, and building upon the successes achieved during its activities. Jeremy Brent praised the excellent organization demonstrated by the forces participating in the exercise.

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense expressed his gratitude for the positive role the exercise played in enhancing the efficiency and readiness of Libyan army personnel, thus supporting their ability to contribute to maintaining international peace and security.
