Takala receives the French Ambassador to Libya.

Tripoli, 27 April 2026 (Lana)—Head of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, received the French Ambassador to Libya, Thierry Vallat, at the council's headquarters in Tripoli yesterday, in the presence of the Head of the Council’s Political Committee, Mohamed Maazeb.
They discussed the latest political development in the country and exchanged views on ways to advance the political process and overcome the current deadlock, leading to an inclusive national consensus based on the Libyan political agreement’s framework and paving the way to hold the elections on agreed-upon constitutional and legal foundations.
The meeting also discussed prospects for bilateral relations between Libya and France, stressing the importance of strengthening and developing joint cooperation in various areas to serve the common interests and support efforts of stability and development.
