Tripoli, April 26, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah of the Government of National Unity met today, Sunday, with Nouri Belhaj, Head of the National Kidney Disease Authority, to review the situation of kidney patients and the operations of dialysis centers. The meeting aimed to assess the level of services and ensure their continued efficient provision across all regions.
The meeting addressed the regular supply of dialysis consumables and medications, emphasizing the need to establish a stable supply system based on an accurate assessment of actual needs. This system will guarantee uninterrupted dialysis sessions and maintain the stability of treatment services.
Dbeibah stressed the importance of improving performance within dialysis centers and strictly adhering to quality and safety standards. He also emphasized the need to activate monitoring and field follow-up mechanisms to enhance the reliability of healthcare services provided to kidney patients.
The Head of the Authority confirmed the completion of the integration of all patients into a comprehensive electronic system. This system includes their detailed medical data, dialysis session schedules, and the types of medications they receive, which will support accurate monitoring and improve the efficiency of dialysis service management.
