Arrival of 70 packages containing precision spare parts intended for power generation plants

Tripoli, April 23, 2026 (LANA) – A shipment of 70 packages containing precision spare parts supplied by the German energy company Siemens arrived yesterday at the General Electricity Company's warehouses. These parts are designated for power generation plants across various regions of Libya.

Company sources stated that the shipment was distributed through the company's warehouses to production sites, including 26 packages for the Western Mountain (Ruways) power plant, 34 packages for the Zuwitina power plant, and 10 packages for the Sarir gas-fired power plant.

This shipment is part of the company's ongoing long-term maintenance and major overhaul plan to upgrade and modernize generating units, improve their operational efficiency, increase their production capacity, and extend their lifespan. This will contribute to improving the performance of the national grid and ensuring a stable electricity supply.
