US representative to the Security Council: Libyan oil exports must be exclusively through the National Oil Corporation

New York, April 22, 2026 (LANA) – The United States representative to the Security Council stressed the need to restrict Libyan oil exports to the National Oil Corporation and to combat oil smuggling in all its forms and preserve oil revenues.
In her address to the UN Security Council session on Libya, the US representative called on the main Libyan parties to exert more effort to unify institutions and ensure the independence of the judiciary. She also encouraged Libyans to engage constructively in the roadmap prepared by the UN envoy.
The US representative commended Libya for hosting the Flintlock military exercises, considering it a historic achievement for Libya, with its joint military forces and the participation of numerous countries, demonstrating its commitment and the strength of its military unity.
