Tripoli, April 21, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, met today, Tuesday, with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, to discuss the results of Exercise Flintlock 2026 and mechanisms for utilizing its outcomes to improve military performance, enhance operational coordination, and translate them into actionable programs that contribute to raising the level of combat readiness.
The “Our Government” platform reported on its official page that the meeting was attended by members of the (3+3) committee and addressed the details of the personnel's participation in the exercise, the results achieved in raising the efficiency of special forces, and the evaluation of field performance and the extent to which the experience gained during these maneuvers was utilized.
During the meeting, Al-Zoubi briefed the Prime Minister on a comprehensive presentation of the exercise's results. Flintlock 2026 is considered one of the most prominent military exercises in the field of special operations on the African continent, organized by the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), with the participation of several countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dbeibah emphasized the need to build upon the results of this exercise and to translate its outcomes into practical implementation programs that contribute to raising the level of combat readiness and enhancing the efficiency of the army forces in performing their duties effectively and professionally.
