Haftar and the British ambassador discuss cooperation between the two countries in the fields of defense and security

Benghazi, April 21, 2026 (LANA) – The UK Ambassador to Libya, Martin Reynolds, described his meeting yesterday, Monday, in Benghazi with Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar as “constructive,” noting that it addressed a number of issues of mutual interest to both countries.
In a tweet on the “X” platform, the ambassador explained that he also held discussions with Haftar, focusing on strengthening Libyan-British cooperation in the areas of defense and combating illegal immigration.
Reynolds confirmed that the meeting also touched upon the importance of supporting efforts aimed at advancing the political process in Libya.
