Libya participates in the Dakar International Forum for Peace and Security to promote stability and African integration

Dakar, April 20, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of State for African Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Fathallah Abdel Latif Al-Zani, participated today, Monday, in the 10th Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security, held in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, under the theme: “Challenges of Stability, Integration, and Sovereignty in Africa: What are Sustainable Solutions?”
The forum was inaugurated by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomêne Faye, in the presence of several African heads of state, foreign ministers, and senior officials from various participating countries.
The forum is discussing a range of issues related to sovereignty, resource management (between risks and opportunities), governance, political transitions, and good governance, in addition to the files of achieving African integration and strengthening collective security.
The forum is scheduled to continue for two days and will conclude with recommendations issued by six specialized workshops, addressing topics including the risks of the spread of violent extremism, the challenges of intra-African integration, Africa’s strategy for achieving digital and technological sovereignty, and the most prominent obstacles facing the achievement of these goals.
