Tripoli, April 20, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, met today, Monday, with the Commander of the Counter-Terrorism Force, Lieutenant General Muhammad al-Zain, as part of ongoing efforts to develop security and military performance and raise the level of readiness.
The General Staff's media office reported that the meeting addressed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of training and qualification, in addition to coordinating efforts in combating terrorism and extremism, in order to contribute to supporting stability and consolidating security in various regions.
The meeting also discussed the importance of raising the efficiency of military personnel, according to well-studied plans that respond to current security challenges and keep pace with developments in methods of confronting extremist organizations.
This meeting comes within the framework of the General Staff's commitment to unifying efforts and strengthening institutional work among the various units, in order to ensure the highest levels of discipline and efficiency in carrying out tasks.
