Dbaiba meets His Qatari Counterpart

Benghazi, April 18, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdelhamid Dbaiba, met today, Saturday, with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, to discuss the latest developments in the region and their impact on regional stability. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The discussions addressed the repercussions of current developments on the security of supply chains and the stability of energy and trade markets, as well as ways to enhance coordination among brotherly nations to confront shared challenges.
Dbeibah emphasized the importance of intensifying coordination during the current phase and supporting de-escalation efforts and prioritizing political solutions to strengthen regional security and reduce tensions.
He stressed the necessity of ensuring the smooth flow of supplies and preventing any disruptions to economic interests, noting that regional stability is linked to the continued flow of energy and trade, which serves the economic stability of its people.
