The Presidential Council - Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army holds an expanded military meeting with the General Staff

Tripoli, April 16, 2026 (LANA) – The Presidential Council, the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, held an expanded military meeting today in Tripoli, the capital. The meeting included the General Staff and the chiefs of staff of the various branches and operations, and was held to monitor readiness and strengthen institutional discipline within the military establishment.

The Presidential Council's media office stated that the meeting included a comprehensive review of the General Staff's situation, an assessment of its assigned tasks, and an evaluation of the field and administrative challenges hindering operations.
