Tripoli – April 15, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, stressed the need to move forward with implementing a package of reform measures aimed at enhancing transparency and financial discipline, and tightening oversight of the performance of sovereign institutions, particularly in the oil and gas sectors, to ensure the protection of public funds and the rationalization of spending.

During his meeting today, Wednesday, with a number of members of the High Council of State representing the Fezzan region, Al-Menfi reiterated his commitment to continuing his efforts in combating corruption by activating oversight frameworks and supporting relevant agencies, thereby contributing to establishing the foundations of good governance and strengthening citizens' trust in state institutions.

This meeting comes as part of his ongoing consultations to follow up on the latest political and economic developments in the country.
