Minister of Economy and Trade Meets with Chairman of Brega Oil Marketing Company

Tripoli, April 15, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Economy and Trade of the Government of National Unity met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brega Oil Marketing Company to discuss the fuel supply situation to the local market.

The meeting also reviewed the pace of external imports in light of the current geopolitical instability.

The meeting addressed the review of strategic reserves within the country and assessed the readiness of the supply system to ensure uninterrupted coverage, thereby strengthening the stability of the local market in the coming period.

It was agreed that the company would prepare and submit a comprehensive plan, including mechanisms for enhancing strategic reserves and diversifying supply sources, to the Supreme Energy Council for approval.

The Minister emphasized the importance of continuous coordination and raising the level of operational readiness to ensure that the needs of the local market are met efficiently and sustainably.
