Al-Abed discusses with the Indian ambassador strengthening technical cooperation and developing the labor market in Libya

Tripoli, April 14, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, met today, Tuesday, with the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Libya, Hafiz Rahman, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and ways to benefit from technical expertise and enhance the labor market.

The Ministry stated on its official page that the meeting addressed ways to benefit from Indian expertise, particularly in technical fields and modern specializations, to support the development of various sectors within Libya and improve performance efficiency.

The two sides discussed procedures related to employing Indian workers within the framework of regulating the labor market and meeting the needs of employers, which contributes to knowledge transfer and enhancing the capabilities of national personnel.

During the meeting, Al-Abed emphasized the importance of expanding areas of cooperation and benefiting from successful international experiences. The Indian Ambassador expressed his country's readiness to support joint cooperation and provide technical expertise to serve the interests of both countries.
