Tripoli, April 14, 2026 (LANA) – Dr. Mohamed Takala, President of the High Council of State, affirmed the Council's commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at national reconciliation and achieving stability. He emphasized the importance of continuous consultation among political bodies to unify positions on critical issues and guide the country towards lasting stability.
This came during his meeting yesterday, Monday, at the State Council headquarters in Tripoli, with Presidential Council Chairman Mohamed Al-Menfi.
During the meeting, they reviewed the latest political and economic developments in the country and discussed ways to break the current political deadlock and unify national efforts to advance practical steps that meet the aspirations of the Libyan people for free and fair elections.
The two sides also discussed the current economic crises and the need to coordinate fiscal and monetary policies to alleviate the suffering of citizens, manage public spending transparently, and ensure the equitable distribution of resources.
