Al-Menfi receives an official invitation from the Prime Minister of India to attend the India-Africa Summit

Tripoli, April 13, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, received an official invitation today, Monday, from the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, to participate in the fourth India-Africa Forum Summit, scheduled to be held in New Delhi at the end of May.

The Presidential Council's platform explained that the invitation was delivered by the Indian Ambassador to Libya, Mohammed Hafiz Rahman, and comes within the framework of strengthening Libya's presence in international forums and consolidating cooperation with international partners, particularly in the African and Asian regions, in order to support development efforts and expand the horizons of strategic partnerships.

The meeting between Al-Menfi and the Indian Ambassador addressed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and explore opportunities for joint cooperation in a number of vital sectors, in order to strengthen mutual interests and propel relations towards more advanced and integrated levels.
