Tripoli, April 12, 2026 (LANA) – Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Salem Al-Zadma, met today, Sunday, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Niger, Bakary Yao Sangare, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Libya and Niger.
The “Our Government” platform stated on its official page that the meeting took place on the sidelines of the reopening of the headquarters of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) in Tripoli.
It explained that the meeting discussed prospects for developing joint cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, issues of enhancing border security, and joint coordination to combat illegal immigration, in a way that contributes to supporting regional stability and achieving common interests between the two countries.
