Tripoli, April 12, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah of the Government of National Unity discussed the unification of the country's military institutions during a phone call today, Sunday, with US Presidential Advisor Massad Boulos. This discussion coincided with the "Flintlock 2026" exercise, which will be hosted by the city of Sirte.
The "Our Government" platform reported on its official page that Boulos congratulated the Prime Minister and all Libyans on reaching a unified financial spending agreement, the first of its kind in over 13 years. This step strengthens the process of unifying public spending and addressing existing financial distortions.
During the call, Dbeibah expressed his gratitude to Advisor Boulos and the US Treasury Department for the technical support they provided to Libyan institutions, which contributed to reaching this agreement. He emphasized the importance of this support in bolstering economic stability and enhancing the efficiency of public financial management.
According to the platform, Dbeibah stressed the continuation of cooperation between Libya and the United States, serving mutual interests and supporting efforts toward stability and development in the country, as well as progress in the political process.
