Narcotics Dispensed Without Prescriptions Seized in Al-Sabe'aah Pharmacies

Tripoli, April 12, 2026 (LANA) – The Food and Drug Control Center, South Tripoli Office, seized a number of procedural and health violations during an inspection campaign targeting several private pharmacies in the Al-Sabe'aah municipality.

According to the center, these violations included some pharmacies dispensing narcotics and medications for neurological diseases without valid prescriptions, a clear violation of the regulations governing the distribution and dispensing of these types of medications.

The inspection teams also noted that some pharmacies failed to record dispensing transactions in official registers, in addition to observations regarding operating without the necessary legal licenses from certain authorities.

The South Tripoli office confirmed that legal measures have been taken against the violators, and they have been referred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures in accordance with the applicable legislation.
