CBL Governor announces the signing of the Unified Public Spending Agreement

Tripoli, April 11, 2026 (LANA) – The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Issa, announced today, Saturday, the signing of the Unified Public Spending Agreement by representatives of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State.

Issa emphasized that this agreement is not merely a financial document, but rather marks a new chapter of serious work and sincere cooperation.

In a speech during the signing ceremony, he said, "This agreement is a true embodiment of the unified national will and a clear declaration that Libya is capable of overcoming its differences when it unites on a shared vision for its future."

He added, "Today, we have agreed to jointly overcome the path of fragmentation and duplication, and to establish a phase of clarity and fiscal discipline by completing this historic step, which unifies public spending in our country."
