Security and intelligence cooperation between the Libyan General Staff and the Tunisian Intelligence Agency

Tripoli, April 8, 2026 (LANA) – Libyan Chief of Staff, Salah al-Din al-Namroush, met today, Wednesday, at his office with the Director General of the Tunisian Defense Intelligence and Security Agency, Habib Ben Saleh al-Dhaif, to discuss ways to enhance international cooperation, particularly in intelligence fields.
The General Staff explained that the meeting addressed developing and coordinating operations between the ground forces of the two countries, focusing on implementing joint training programs and conducting field exercises along the border to bolster security and military readiness between Libya and Tunisia.
Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying the exchange of information and expertise and strengthening joint security coordination to contribute to supporting regional stability and protecting the shared interests of the two brotherly nations.
