Al-Namroush and the head of Turkish military intelligence discuss strengthening security cooperation between Libya and Turkey.

Tripoli, April 6, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, met today, Monday, with the Head of Turkish Military Intelligence, Major General Ertuğrul Ertuğanlı, to discuss ways to enhance security and intelligence coordination between the two countries.

The Presidency stated on its official page that the meeting focused on developing mechanisms for joint work, which would strengthen the ability of both military institutions to confront current security challenges.

It explained that the two sides discussed expanding cooperation in training, qualification, and the exchange of expertise, with the aim of raising the efficiency of personnel, enhancing readiness, and improving performance levels.

It is worth noting that this meeting comes within the framework of strengthening Libyan-Turkish relations, in light of a trend towards building deeper partnerships in the security field, which serves regional stability and common interests.
