Tripoli, April 5, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, met today in Tripoli with the Director of Military Intelligence of the Sudanese Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali Sabir, and his accompanying delegation to discuss ways to enhance military and security cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The General Staff's media office reported that the meeting addressed mechanisms for activating cooperation in the areas of information exchange and security coordination, thereby strengthening the ability of both military institutions to confront shared challenges.
During the meeting, al-Namroush emphasized the deep historical ties and strong relations that bind the Libyan and Sudanese peoples, stressing the importance of developing joint coordination to serve the interests of both countries and contribute to supporting security and stability in the region.
According to the office, the two sides agreed to expand military training programs and exchange expertise, with the aim of raising the efficiency of personnel and enhancing readiness, within the framework of a strategic partnership that reflects the strength of bilateral relations and their aspirations for further constructive cooperation.
