Libya and Turkey Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Enhance Sports Cooperation

Antalya, March 4, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Sports in the Government of National Unity, Fouad Barghash, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Turkish side to enhance sports cooperation between the two countries. This took place during his participation in the 8th International Conference on Traditional Sports in Antalya.
The Ministry of Sports stated on its official page today that the signing of the memorandum followed a meeting between Minister Barghash and the President of the World Traditional Sports Federation, Necmettin Bilal Erdoğan. The meeting addressed ways to strengthen joint cooperation and expand partnerships between sports institutions in both countries.
The memorandum aims to establish a practical framework for cooperation in various sports fields, contributing to the development of Libyan sports, raising the efficiency of national personnel, and enhancing the exchange of expertise between the two countries. It also focuses on a governmental vision based on openness to international experiences and building effective sports partnerships.
