Tripoli, April 1, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, held a telephone conversation today, Wednesday, with the President of Chad, Mohamed Idriss Déby, during which they discussed the latest developments in the region and ways to enhance bilateral coordination.

The two sides exchanged views on regional developments and their impact on security and stability, as well as emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation on issues of common interest.

They also discussed mechanisms to support stability in the region and enhance security coordination to address shared challenges, particularly those related to border security and combating cross-border threats.

Dbeibah affirmed the Government of National Unity's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Chad in a way that serves mutual interests and contributes to regional stability.
