Al-Tarabulsi Participates in the 43rd Session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers

Tripoli, April 1, 2026 (LANA) – Interior Minister Imad Al-Tarabulsi participated today, Wednesday, in the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, with the participation of representatives from the League of Arab States, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, the Arab Police Sports Federation, and a number of high-level Arab security delegations.

The session discussed several key topics, most notably the Secretary-General's report on the activities of the General Secretariat, the report of the President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences on the university's work, the draft of the second phase of the updated Arab strategy for combating terrorism, recommendations issued by previous conferences and meetings, and the outcomes of joint meetings with Arab and international bodies.

In his address, Al-Tarabulsi emphasized the importance of comprehensive security as a fundamental pillar of developmental progress, stressing that Arab security is indivisible and that Libya stands in solidarity with its brothers in the Gulf States and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, supporting all efforts to protect the security and stability of Arab countries.

He also reviewed the Ministry's efforts to enhance security cooperation through information exchange and the activation of memoranda of understanding and bilateral agreements, affirming Libya's readiness to dedicate its resources to serving common Arab causes.

The Minister expressed his hope for constructive outcomes that would contribute to strengthening the Council's ability to confront challenges, proposing the convening of a broad security meeting in one of the Gulf States to coordinate Arab efforts in addressing current challenges.
