Tripoli, March 30, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met this morning in Tripoli with the Director of Military Intelligence and Commander of the 444th Combat Brigade, Brigadier General Mahmoud Hamza.

The Presidential Council's media office stated that Al-Menfi, during the meeting, which comes as part of ongoing efforts to monitor the security situation and enhance coordination among military agencies, emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and intensifying efforts to establish security and consolidate stability in the capital and surrounding areas, thereby ensuring the protection of citizens and the preservation of public order.

Al-Menfi also held separate meetings with the Head of the Deterrence Apparatus for Combating Terrorism and Organized Crime and the Commander of the 52nd Infantry Brigade.

The Presidential Council's media office simply stated that these meetings were part of ongoing efforts to monitor the security situation and enhance coordination among all security and military agencies, without providing further details.
