Tripoli, March 29, 2026 (LANA) – Stephanie Khoury, Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs at the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), discussed the latest developments in Libya with the Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Khalid Mohammed bin Zaben Al-Dosari, as well as UN efforts to support the political process and achieve stability in the country.

During the meeting, the Qatari Ambassador affirmed his country's support for dialogue among Libyan factions, considering it the best way to overcome differences, reject violence, and achieve national consensus.

He also reiterated Qatar's support for the Libyan political process, relevant Security Council resolutions, and all peaceful solutions that preserve Libya's unity, stability, and sovereignty, and fulfill the aspirations of its people for development and prosperity, culminating in free and fair elections.
