Tripoli, March 29, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Al-Menfi, held a series of separate military and security meetings today, Sunday, in the capital, Tripoli. These meetings were dedicated to discussing the latest security and military developments in various western regions and cities.

According to a statement issued by the Presidential Council's media office, the meetings assessed the readiness and discipline of the relevant agencies. The issue of unifying the military and security institutions under the leadership of the Presidential Council was also addressed.

During these meetings, Al-Menfi reviewed reports on the progress of security operations and the level of coordination between military units and security agencies. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the joint operational framework to enhance citizens' trust in state institutions and create a conducive environment for comprehensive stability.

The Head of the Council stressed the necessity of concerted efforts and unity among all security and military entities, working with a spirit of national responsibility to consolidate security and stability.
